| Carol Who? |
| |
I was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 15, 1958.
When I was two years old, my family lived in Paris, France because my father was in the Army and stationed there.
We lived there for three years. In Paris,
my sister, Sandy and I would find snails in our yard and bring them to the porch for races.
I think this memory must have subconsciously inspired me to write,
A Snail's Pace as an adult!
I have also written another poem about my time in France.
This poem, entitled France,
can be used as a tool to introduce children to some French words. See
France in my
portfolio section.
I returned to the USA and began kindergarten after which I attended St. Mary Magdalene Elementary
School in Columbus. I addressed the assembly there on February 11, 2004, and talked
about my story, A Snail's Pace.
I will also donate a
Say Good Night to Illiteracy book
to their library.
I attended Bishop Ready High School in Columbus, where I met my husband
Jeff.
An article about me was published in their newsletter, The Ready Report.

Jeff
and I were married on May 2, 1981. We currently reside in Dublin, Ohio, with our
two children, Justin, 18, and Emelia, 13. Both children are a great
source of inspiration for my writing!
We also have a brother and sister cat, Ferrari and Tux who provide inspiration too!

The high population of Japanese Honda of America employees and families living
here in Dublin, I decided to become an English as a second language(ESL) tutor to
help the Japanese children and adults make the difficult transition to living in
America a bit easier.
